Help an EcoEtsy Supporter!

I was recently contacted by the owner of the Milkweed Mercantile, an Eco Inn, an organic cafe and green general store. This business is housed in a spacious two-story strawbale solar and wind powered building, a part of a greater eco village called the Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage. What’s more, its green store sells a number of eco-friendly products from our own EcoEtsy members, including:

  • Handmade Pretties – sweater balls
  • Trillium Artisans – catnip slugs, chair-webbing purses, wood pen & pencil sets
  • Dinnertime Chimes – birdhouses

Considering how well represented we are in this store, I thought it only natural to support them in return, as the Milkweed Mercantile is in the running for a $20,000 award! The winner of the contest they’re involved in is determined simply by which company gets the most votes. They are currently in second place behind a well-established design firm.

So, if you can, please take three minutes to go to , register, and vote for “Strawbale Business Opens.” And be sure to spread the word about a great supporter and fan of EcoEtsy who needs our help!
