Themed Nomination winners – Earth Day

Thanks for the many nominations I received for this weeks theme. Once again I was challenged to choose from all of your carefully nominated items.

A funky bracelet from the shop of ArtworkbyKD has been made from salvaging plastic pop bottles and carfefully cutting them into these ethereal shaped green discs. This lovely delicate bracelet was nominated by Pouch.

‘Riding the Wave’ is a set of 8 envelopes made from recycled magazines. They were made by Maidenlove and nominated by ArtisticallyStitched. A perfect reminder to us that much of our planet is nurtured by water and also expresses the joy that we can experience in nature.

This fun organic hemp/cotton reusable produce bag was made by Dyluzo. It reads ‘Give me a hand’ and has been printed with non-toxic ink and includes a hand print of her child’s hand. A sweet reminder that “we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors but borrow it from our children.” This nomination was made by Abagoffabric.

Happy Earth Day everyone!
