And the Handmade Auction winners are……….

Handmade for Earth Day Auction Closed

Yippee! For my first post as your Co-Editor for  News and Views, I have the privilege to announce some big news: the winning bidders of our silent auction! I love announcing good news!

But before we get on with all the announcing and fanfare, I need to make a few thank yous.

First off, a BIG thank you to our fearless leaders, Karen and Rikianne for dreaming, scheming and organizing the whole auction idea. Corralling a bunch of busy and sometimes scattered designers is not an easy task.  They kept us informed, up to date and on track to bring this all together. And never mind that Rikianne was moving in the middle of this, just when she thought she could be getting rid of boxes, all of our donations started arriving at her new place!

Second goes to all the team members who donated items for a great cause.  42 members donated a total of 53 items. Thanks guys! I have loved seeing what everyone makes so nicely bundled together and looking fantastic.

Third goes to Amy (Of Ojami) for her help with the graphics and HTML issues on the blog.

And lastly to all of you! All of you who bid and helped us raise $510 (minus shipping and related fees) for the World Wildlife Fund! Thanks everybody!

So, now on with the show! The winners are:

Baby: Rikkianne ($60)

Home: Michelle ($115)

Fashion: Modernfigurative ($65)

Jewelry: Melissa ($125)

Paper goods: Cat ($65)

Health and Beauty: Lauren ($80)

Rikkianne will be in contact with you about how to send your money and how to received your package. Please contact her by Tuesday May 4, 2010 to receive your prizes. If you don’t, the prize will go to the next highest bidder.

Our first auction has been a huge success!

Again, thanks to everyone who made this possible!
