Make Your Own Business Cards

From Claire Baker (Montclairmade) here’s a tip for recycling materials to make your own business cards!

1). It’s fun and easy to create your own business cards that reflect your style and make a great impression! For this simple tutorial you will need a paper cutter, used manila file folders, mod podge, and whatever ephemera you’ll want to glue to the folders.

2). Collect the images you’ll use. I used vintage ephemera like maps, sewing patterns, vintage greeting cards, illustrations from dictionaries, etc.

3). Cut your file folders so they will fit in your printer.

4). Print your information on the file folders before you glue your ephemera on the back. I kept my info short and made 2 columns to maximize the number of cards I’ll get from each folder.

5). Glue the paper ephemera to the other side of the file folder.

6). After they are completely dry, cut your cards on the paper cutter.

7). Enjoy your custom business cards!
