{Eco-Tutorial} Pizza Dip

I figured with the football seasons just starting up, a yummy game day snack would be a great post for this week. It’s not exactly a really healthy recipe to begin with, but you can add ingredients to make it a wholesome munchy for your crew.


  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 cup chopped or whole pepperoni (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped peppers (optional)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella works best in keeping with the pizza theme)
  • lots of corn chips!


Combine first four ingredients. Spread into a 9″ pie plate. Top with pizza sauce and whatever toppings you like. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Take out and put on cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with any corn chips you like, I prefer the tostitos scoops for this since the chip holds the dip really well. This recipe serves about 10 people, but if you have a hungry crowd of guys coming over, I’d consider making 2 since it goes quick!

Other toppings to consider could be bacon, feta, chicken, sausage, spinach, arugula and anything else you can think of! I like to make it like a type of pizza I like such as white, 3 cheese, and even vegetarian (you can use tofu in place of the sour cream and cream cheese if you like.) Don’t be afraid to experiment! I’ve even shared one of these for a dinner a few times, they are that good. What’s your favorite pizza?
