Sometimes you need a little light hearted fun to raise awareness for some pretty serious issues. In 2010, Bra Recycling Month brought awareness to the issues of Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence. They are hoping to reach an even broader audience this year. Bra recycling is an economical way to support women nationwide who are breast cancer survivors or transitioning for domestic violent situations. Last year the Annual Bra Recycling Month recycled 7,000 bras, how many more can we hope for this year?

Earn Prizes for Recycling Bras

10,000 is the magic number for recycled bras. Donators have between October 1 through October 31 to donate their bras. It’s not just a warm, fuzzy feeling as a reward though, the 2nd Annual Bra Recycling Month has partnered with several business offering fabulous prizes. Sheila with Cookie Lee Jewelry, Jenneration Fix, Inc. and Bra Tree are offering sweet rewards but a full list of raffled prizes is available at Brarecycling.

What Kinds Of Prizes

Want to know what prizes are on the line? Well how about 4 BRAzaar Apparel T-shirts? There is also a $25 gift certificate for Cookie Lee Jewelry. IF that’s not sweet enough than how about one Bra Tree provided by Bra Tree with a $30 value? There’s also a gold clutch and vintage playbill clock from Jenneration Fix, Inc. There are four $25 gift certificates to Soma Intimates, two $25 gift certificates to Itty Bitty Bra, one $25 gift certificate for Bodacious Boutique and a $50 Value Custom-made Necklace from Yours Only, Original Jewelry Design.

It’s Easy To Recycle Your Bras

Gather your gently used or new bras and get your friends to do the same. Fill out the Bra Recycle Form and place all the bras in a large envelope or box and mail them to 3317 S. Higley Road, #114-441 Gilbert, AZ 85297. It’s that simple.

Just Do It

Do some fall closet/drawer cleaning to make this year’s Bra Recycling Month even better than last year! We want 10,000 bras coming from caring women like you and your friends. Please help spread the word by telling others about your good deed and letting them know how easy it is to recycle their bras.

Comments

  1. The links to the Brarecycling website and FB page aren’t working for me. Hmmm……

  2. Excellent project, thanks for the info! I missed my local http://brasacrosstheriver.com/ event, had a bra set aside just for that, now I know what to do with it.

  3. Love this post! Every year, I host a Prom Dress Drive and Boutique Day. I’m always looking for ways the girls can give back to the community and this is the perfect type of event for us. Thank you so much for sharing.
