Hello everyone! The holidays are coming up fast and so are holiday craft fairs. Since my expertise is jewelry, I want to come in with an idea for those of us who need some way to display our bracelets, besides putting them on a table or bar display, but don’t have a large budget to work with:
This is really simple to do, and requires no sewing, just a couple of staples!
What you’ll need are:
Votive candle holders
Toilet paper or paper towel tubes
Fabric -1 piece of fabric about 1.5 feet long per display you are making, and 2 pieces of fabric about 2×2 inches per display (I am using an old skirt for this)
Creating these started with a trip to my favorite store, Goodwill, where I picked up a set of 3 votive candle holders for $3!
Cut your tubes to about 2.5 inches. Smaller than that is ok, but longer than that, and they may not stay balanced in the holders.
Take your long strip of fabric and staple it to the tube right in the middle on the short side. There should be about an inch of fabric on either side of the tube. Mine looks all jagged, but no worries, it won’t be noticeable when the displays are done, so don’t fuss!
Tightly wrap the fabric around the tube.
It should look like this when you are done.
Tuck in each side by pushing the ends in as far as you can.
Push your 2×2 inch pieces of fabric into each side as far as they will go.
The better they are pushed in, the more solid the display will be.
Make sure it’s neat!
Put it in the candle holder!
